Is Knowledge enough?...

KNOWLEDGE IS BLISS

Right from our childhood everyone around is trying to impart knowledge to us. Our parents were the first, our teachers followed up. Then our teachers coupled with our parents kept giving knowledge. Soon enough we were getting knowledge from Suresh and Ramesh and their mom's. Some neighbouring aunty poured all her knowledge on us and this process kept going. In this process of gaining knowledge we were also often compared to dogs, cats, fish markets, and what not. So much to gain knowledge.

Now comes a point where I start to think is the knowledge worth all the pains we took till today? I am 21 on the date I am writing this which means I have gained knowledge for 21 years. All these years I spent have been a lot of work, pain and hardships and today I think is my knowledge enough for me to stand on my feet? Is it enough to get me a job? Is it enough to keep me moving? Is it enough to face the world? Will the knowledge I have help me on it's own?

Knowledge is a must. It is something you ought to have. It is something that will stay with you at every turn of your life. But knowledge alone cannot save you. Knowledge alone won't help you in today's world. If There are two people you have to select from, One has complete knowledge about things, knows theoretically everything but seems to be slower when it comes to applying that knowledge, whereas the other person has lesser knowledge, but seems to be way quicker in applying it and learning things, whom would you select? I am sure you would go to the second person. With the world fast growing pure knowledge will not take you anywhere. Knowledge now has become something any skillfull person can attain fast. In contrast, Skill is something every knowledgable person cannot attain real fast. With the movies like 3 Idiots and all showing knowledge to be the king and queen of this world, be assured, A knowledgeable Skillfull person is what you need to be to grow in life.

To the people who are yet to start their careers, try  building your skills because you already have a lot of knowledge. Start showcasing the skills you have, and sharpen them to an extent where no one can ignore you. Let your skills shine because every person you will compete with in your career will have knowledge and the only thing that would make you stand out is your skills.
